We're talking about the picture posted above, right? Schumacher was driving for Ferrari at the time it was taken, so why the tack?

But yes, since 2010 all Mercedes F1 cars are put together in Brackley, Northamptonshire by Ross Brawn, who was born in Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire. The previous year Brawn bought Mercedes engines, brought them up to scratch, which enabled Jenson Button to win the world drivers' championship and Brawn's version of the Mercedes the constructors' championship. The engines themselves were never built in Germany to begin with. They come from Ilmor Engineering (founded by Mario Illien and Paul Morgan as an independent British Formula One engine manufacturer) in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. Bit by bit Mercedes bought the outfit and eventually renamed it Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains.

I have not found out where the chassis/ bodies are built or who designs them, but it is probably significant that each new model gets its shakeout in Silverstone rather than Hockenheim (the latter being only 75 kilometres NW of Mercedes-Benz's headquarters inn Stuttgart).

In short since Mercedes re-entered the F1 circus all Mercedes F1 cars are, with the possible exception of the raw engine blocks, essentially British.
