Georgie Fame is a twat. Nasty piece of work.

I've come to appreciate the work of Anthony Trollope. I used to dismiss it as Victorian soap opera, but have decided that while that may be true, Trollope provides an interesting window into British society of that era.

Re: Re-evaluations
I can listen to all kinds of music, but I would call very little of it good. When I was younger it was easier to find good music. But now I get bothered by silly ideas like truth, which is usually the first thing killed when an artist opens their mouth. I guess it's not surprising then that I enjoy a lot more instrumental pieces than I used to.

Tony Abbott. I used to think he was a conservative arsewipe. Now I think he's a top bloke.

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state

The likes of Bill Hayley, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis were already knocking out some decent rock 'n roll for the times, but no radio station in Europe played their stuff until the Beatles busted the broadcast studio doors off their hinges.

Re: Re-evaluations
The most exciting on Finnish radio was maybe a once a day Shadows tune, Apache usually. I sampled my parents 10 LPs. The only playable thing was the Kingston Trio.
