You dodged it. Care to answer it? Did the Palestinians live in America and then, like, migrate to the Levant, or something?

What is it that you mean by the US bending over backwards for Native Americans (who do live in the United States), but that we "shit on" Palestinians? If anyone is shitting on Palestinians, it would seem to be other Palestinians, Syrians, Jordanians, and/or Israelis.
Israel is America. The 51st state.
The Palestinians are just as American as the Hawaiians. Or the Guamis.

Not through choice, obviously. But that applies to most "native Americans".
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

If native Americans had spent more time developing guns and cannon instead of smoking their "peace" pipes maybe they wouldn't be in this situation now.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Oh! Got it...so, the US controls Israel, now? Or, is it that Israel controls the US? It's hard to keep those allegations straight. One say the US is just a District of Israel, controlled by the Jews. The next, it's the WASP-controlled US that has made a State out of Israel.....

I hadn't heard that the Palestinians, a people that did not exist as a separate demographic outside of "Arab" before Yassir Arafat, are now "Native Americans." Well, if they want a reservation on the west bank, I'm sure it can be arranged.

If Palestinians were native Americans the west bank would be full of casinos and cigarette shops.

The PS Commission is handling this decision and hearings. The judge seems to be only there to rule what evidence is presented. The commission has to decide by November. This commissions has never ruled on any pipeline.
It will, without a doubt, be the highest-profile action the PSC has taken, drawing national attention.

Rulings earlier this week by a retired judge from Lincoln who will be the hearing officer severely restricted what issues can be presented. Those rulings may serve to shorten the hearings, which are scheduled to extend as late as 9 p.m. each day.

No testimony will be allowed, Judge Karen Flowers ruled, on topics such as pipeline leaks, the necessity for the pipeline and how landowners have been treated by TransCanada — because the state pipeline siting law doesn’t allow consideration of those topics.

Flowers did allow discussion about the impact on property values and soil disturbance in laying the 36-inch pipeline, which would be buried 4 feet deep to allow farming and grazing to resume above it.

But Omaha attorney Dave Domina, who is representing a group of landowners opposed to the pipeline, said he is hoping that members of the PSC will overrule the judge’s decisions and allow broader testimony.

“We hope the individual commissioners recognize the breadth and gravity of their responsibility,” Domina said. “They are not supposed to do anything less with this massive process than they’d do for any other application.”

NY Times:
In 2010, a spill from Enbridge’s Line 6B dropped 840,000 gallons of bitumen to the bottom of the Kalamazoo River in Michigan. Four years and more than a billion dollars later, the cleanup continues. Last spring, Exxon’s Pegasus line burst near a residential area of Mayflower, Ark., spreading 210,000 gallons of bitumen through neighborhood streets, causing evacuations and leaving residents complaining of respiratory problems, nausea and headaches.

It is the exact same size pipe as proposed NE pipe, split here in Michigan

Pipelines in Canada are fine. The ones in the US are unacceptable.

Not very good at this job creating lark, is he?

Perfectly acceptable pipelines that apparently don't leak too much...

You leprechauns go green first, and show us how it's done. I'm sure there are hundreds of thousands over there that could use jobs.

If not by pipeline, it's by train. And trains are riskier. Pipelines also don't produce CO2, like trains :hehe:
