What I don't get is how people can get worked up over an overpaid bunch of ball chasers... I can barely get why actors are so highly paid, but athletes are totally beyond my ken, I don't see why pay them handsomely enough to make it a career, the show is utterly without interest...on the show premises, religion is a much better investment.

I am the same as Ani. I am more interested in black holes than I am in God since at least the former exist even though they too are rather mysterious. And I have now evolved into an apatheist so whether he does or does not exist is immaterial because either way there is nothing I can do about it since it is beyond my remit. But I do think that belief systems should not be granted privilege by virtue of just existing. But that is completely separate to the philosophical question of whether G exists or not. As I get older I find myself being less absolute in what I think anyway even in relation to absolute truths such as mathematical ones. For life is merely an interlude before the main event and as that is going to be for ever one might as well get used to accepting the fact a s a p. Going from consciousness to non consciousness is just a transformation from one state to an other. While I am waiting for that I shall try to make productive use of my time. But when the end finally does comes then no big deal. We are simply passing through. Nothing else matters. Understand that much and you have it sussed. Every thing else is just a distraction so is ultimately irrelevant

I don't usually engage in threads you're part of except for an occasional passing comment. "Golly", you're a broken record about what kind of people are here, regardless of facts. You don't have to make an enemy out of every person you type at. Why is your default mode to be nasty and assume the worst of everyone?

People online and off who actually know me, know who I am, so your approval isn't really needed. I just see you repeating the same judgemental crap about people here over and over and (probably mistakenly) decided to speak up. Since you'll predictably use this as another chance to be condescending and hostile, I'll let you have the last word and leave it at that.

Got a bug up my ass evidently. Life is not wonderful right now, it's eat, drive, sleep, repeat ad nauseum and the money ain't going to keep me out of a cardboard box eventually, it just slows the bleeding. I barely see the sun now and in a month I won't see it at all since I'm driving nights and don't get up until after 3 pm and work till 4 am. I love the driving and meeting new people, but business is slow except on the weekends and it doesn't look like I can make enough profit to stay in my house much past April of next year.

I'm sorry to everyone I have offended, I have been unfairly harsh and condescending. I make no excuse, merely an explanation.

It's not mine, it's a rental, so I've got no equity to draw on and no cash left except for the medical fund, which I won't touch. I'm starting to try to sell stuff like the family heirloom silver and art, and my motorcycles and vehicles.

I knew this day was coming, so I can't really complain, but it still sucks that the money finally ran out. Going back to full time minimum-wage work at sixty sucks giant donkey dick, and I'm essentially unemployable in any of the fields I have experience in due to my age.

But if I have to sleep in my car, at least I have a Mercedes Benz 450GL to do it in. Nice ride. My clients love it.
