....money when there's blood in the streets. It'll be a bonanza time for some in the aftermath. Assuming that the worst case doesn't arise and the ship completely sinks. :read:

The thing is, the current rate of spread has happened in a climate where it's easy enough to say, ''it'll never happen to me''.
Once large numbers of people start dying, the word will be out, and people will avoid sick people like the plague. Well, that's the logic of the situation anyway.
It might be harder to get the message across in Africa. From what I've heard, there's still a lot of ''alternative'' medicine practiced.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Maybe the long lived religious memes surrounding sodomites being sinners have a fair point here? Nothing wrong with given a fair point where due in a winning war. :read:

Is this meant to be a claim that anal sex will increase the spread of Ebola in comparison with vaginal sex?

Or is it merely your usual obscure meandering?

Anal sex is an offense against God Himself and we know how pissy Jehovah is. Didn't go to church last week? Two weeks of migraines. Used my name in vain? Let's see how a bit if irritable bowel syndrome goes down. What? You fucked somebody in the ASS?? What did I tell you about fucking people in the ass? OK, it's Ebola Time, motherfucker!
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I think the blood spatter would render this course of action rather useless ... plus, by the time Ebola becomes seriously symptomatic, you don't have to bother with firearms, because the victims are usually too incapacitated. Your problems begin with the fact that Ebola doesn't become seriously symptomatic until about 7 days into the infection, and it's possible for non-symptomatic people early in the stages of infection to pass on the virus. Though at the moment, there's no evidence, as far as I'm aware, of aerosol transmission being a major infection route. The moment the virus acquires the mutations facilitating this, then we're in deep shit.

Isn't evolution wonderful, baby?

There was a thriller by Tom Clancy (Executive Orders) that envisaged a bio-war attack by Iran on the US, using a strain of Ebola modified for aerosol transmission...

On the other hand boiling the testicles of a Frenchman in palm wine is a sure cure for Ebola. The problem is we are running out of French people, hence the spread of Ebola.
