Really awesome. I like vids like these because they always find a way to put things into perspective.

Astounding!

However, infinities go both ways. I'd like to see a vid on how unbelievably huge we are. Both perspectives lead to the same conclusion, viz, that we ain't really what we think we are. I saw a vid on that a while back, but it's 3 a.m. and I ain't gonna look it up right now. I've got to be at work in just under a week. :snooze:

I agree - thanks, Rum! Re: Both ways: Powers of Ten, which has been previously posted, methinks. I've seen others as well, as far back as the mid-70s.

Your wish..

Actually this is one of the originals from way back, but it zooms right out and then in to molecular level.

The Known Universe: Thrilling. Didn't get any feeling about being small, though. Just pleasure at what a big field we have to play in.

But no one cared and no one dared to speak to her of love.
Her eyes are always hooded. Her claws are sharp as steel.
We teach her not to see too much. We teach her not to feel."

God gave us all of that to play in. The universe is designed specifically for us.

Yeah, I know. And when I was a kid, the pasture land was put there just for me to kick around in.

I enjoy all these vids (the Hubble deep space shots, Pale Blue Dot, etc) but I've found that they tend to sail right over the heads of creationists. I despaired of ever finding something adequately free of concepts like "numbers" but still sufficient to get the point across, but then I remembered this:

Who needs a signature anyway?
