Surely the volume of fart gas is more significant than the number of individual bottom burps. Ten farts of two cubic meters is after all more than 20 farts of 0.25 cubic meters. Obviously.
The science of all this seems seriously flawed to me! Sloppy.

..and it occurs to me that the density - the number of poo particles per cubic centimetre will probably vary. There's a PhD in this!
