Things you need to know about the Calvin Cycle...

The thing is, a lot of stuff just goes around in 3-5 carbon bits. Only one glucose spits off at the bottom. It's a terrific cycle. It makes life possible. It makes it possible to capture stuff out of photons.

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice

We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

Turn stone to bread, said Daemon Duncetan
Turn stone to bread right away...

I'd forgotten I even knew this stuff. In fact, my science days are receding at what seems like a steadily increasing rate...

No Hobbes . Just Calvin. Melvin Calvin. I once shook his hand. He is dead now. His Berkeley office had a toilet. And a little planetarium device.

I've met 2 Nobelists. The other is Gertrude Elion. She only had an MS because the Ivy Leage before 1960 never gave PhDs to women scientists
