He's a university professor at a prestigious school - University of Toronto - and is a "historian of medicine." He's not an idiot, who doesn't know what words he's using.
He does actually hold that position, which is what is so alarming about this. Call bullshit all you want. Watch the entire video. It's available on Youtube and easy to find. it's a mainstream Canadian show -- which was on the CBC - not just some youtube vlog. They were seriously talking about these issues, and talked for over 30 minutes straight about the issues. Nobody was cut off. Nobody was rushed. This was a give-and-take conversation, moderated by a very respectable Canadian interviewer.
