Anything Apple makes me iRate. Not the products themselves, mind you. They are generally brilliant. Have been ever since the the release of the Apple Lisa and the Macintosh (though those designs were essentially stolen from Xerox PARC). What gets my dander up is the rapacious greed underlying everything the company does. One executive, when asked about how Apple can tolerate the conditions for workers in the factories that actually manufacture the goods on Apple's behalf, replied: "You can either manufacture in comfortable, worker-friendly factories, or you can reinvent the product every year, and make it better and faster and cheaper, which requires factories that seem harsh by American standards." He is totally wrong, of course. While 25% or more of its revenue is pure profit. it's not an either/or matter.

Despite one exposé after another since that comment about Apple requiring "factories that seem harsh" was made in 2012 fuck-all has changed.

I'm typing this on my superbly easy to use MacBook, on the balcony of a delightful hotel overlooking the ocean. If this was a Windows machine, all I'd be looking at would be a dirty brick wall in a slum...

When it comes to typing, my old windows 311 machine was superbly easy to use. And that was about twenty years ago.
Typing is not the greatest challenge for a pc of any kind.
I find them all easy to use, till you get to doing very advanced stuff.

Anyway, Formula 1 is boring. Moto GP and superbikes is where it's at. Much better entertainment.

What did Apple not steel? The mouse was from Xerox as was the basic OS.
