How life got started. Solved.

Post by mistermack » Tue Oct 29, 2013 12:08 pm

I've done it. I've solved the mystery that has been baffling biologists and geneticists for years.
How the first life got started on Earth. And it's so simple, you'll wonder why nobody had thought of it before.

Just like Darwin's theory of Evolution, once you hear it, it becomes perfectly obvious.

Here it is.
Coming up.
No more waiting.
The answer.

At some point in the future, someone will invent a time machine. It's bound to happen in the end.
Once it's been invented, someone is BOUND to try it out, and go back four billion years, to see what the Earth was like then.
It only needs one hair to fall, with bacteria living on it, and woooosh, away goes evolution.

I can't believe I never worked it out sooner.
Has anybody got Nobel's number?

Oh yeah, the episode of Doctor Who with all those Mona Lisa paintings.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

I built a time machine but it only goes into the future. I just sit in it and wait a good while. When I get out, it's the future! Well, not awfully far into the future. But still.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Typical. Must you bring fantasy into a serious scientific debate?

Time isn't fixed but your life inside it is. :coffee:

There's one problem. Time travel to the past violates laws of physics.

The laws of physics as we know them. But, if we are all just part of a gigantic video game, played by aliens in another Universe, then they might stop the game, and take a character back in time. Just for a laugh.

Obviously, if they don't save the current state of the game, we will all disappear.

Life began about 3 to 4 billion years ago. I am going to take my own time machine and go back 4.2 billion years and drop a hair. That will show you all up!

But Physics is just lying there, legs wide open, just begging to be violated!

Probe the Black Hole!

Time machines are perfectly plausible... if you wish to go forward in time.
