Mars to approach Earth and 'look like two moons' hoax resurfaces

A hoax that had previously circulated the Internet has resurfaced this August. The message claims Earth will have a close encounter with Mars and it will appear the Earth has two moons. It is a hoax and experts say no such event will occur.
An old Internet hoax has resurfaced, this time in social media, that indicates Mars will move very close to Earth that it will appear our planet has two moons. The message also has photos accompanying the text as "proof", reports WTKR.
According to Hoax-Slayer, there are a couple of versions of the hoax. A (partial) example is:

This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the Last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again.
