Can cetaceans breath through their mouths?
Just something I've wondered about recently...dunno why.

Sea lions and seals can, they can bark like a dog, and they open their mouths to do it.
I suppose whales lost the ability, when they stopped breeding on land.
I'm not sure about dolphins. They seem to open their mouths to vocalise, but it's not really something you take note of.

Maybe, but back when my allergies were not well treated, I needed to breathe through the mouth very often as my nose was irretrievably clogged.
