Bit noisy though. They'll never catch on while they're still using rotors for air thrust. It's like 3D where you have to wear glasses - they try it every decade, but it's still not futuristic enough to be satisfying. Hovercars won't be cool until they're powered by some glowing blue electro-thrust that makes a quiet wurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Couldn't see any pedalling, so has to be some kind of modern motorized contraption

Serious bullshit there. Notice the "pilot" never moved, not a single bobble of the head or flex of the arms?

I noticed that. I suspect no one was game enough to ride it yet, so it was flown by remote control.Gawdzilla Sama wrote:Serious bullshit there. Notice the "pilot" never moved, not a single bobble of the head or flex of the arms?

With a 20 pound dummy on the seat. That rig wouldn't lift an adult male.Faithfree wrote:I noticed that. Technically incorrect. It would lift an adult male mouse.Gawdzilla Sama wrote:With a 20 pound dummy on the seat. That rig wouldn't lift an adult male.Faithfree wrote:I noticed that. So it would be more practical, to train mice to pilot aircraft.
In the future, when your body packs up, they will be able to save your brain and fit it into machines like this. That will open up all sorts of possibilities for flight.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
