Though we love to focus on the vertebrates, more than 95% of the world’s known living creatures – at least 1.3m species – are spineless.

Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

Incredible.... parasailor pilot sucked to 33,000' and survives...
Nasty Tstorms in Australia.....lucky girl.
I've been under a strong cu pointing straight down in the Blanik and still climbing and that's just a regular summer cloud. Very vivid for me still tho was not scared - just worried about getting hell from the safety instructor ( you are not allowed to fly inside of clouds as a VFR pilot) if I got pulled up.
Just astonishing she survived that

https://www.nsf.gov/news/news_summ.jsp?cntn_id=124570A new study--which includes the first large-scale comparison of fungi that cause rot decay--suggests that the evolution of a type of fungi known as white rot may have brought an end to a 60-million-year-long period of coal deposition known as the Carboniferous period.
