I have it on my new laptop and I am configuring it as much like W7 as I can!
Besides it tying to turn almost everything you do into an effing 'app' it is full of shit that is trying to get you to register here or there and potentially suck your money through it to the grubby hands of the developers!
My advice is don't get it unless you have to!

Il bought a new machine cuz my "old" one's (like a year and a half old) keyboard packed it in, and I could only get a Win 8 machine immediately. I am not impressed. It's neither fish nor fowl, the touch screen is ludicrously sensitive, all these screens keep popping up. When I get the old machine fixed this one will be relegated to spare status.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

We are using Word 2007 at work and XP I think.
It will be interesting what Windows 8 stripped down version they get for businesses. Otherwise the employees will spend all day shopping and watching videos.
I bought last Acer windows 7 in store, November. Well, there were 4 of that model on shelf.

7 wasn't bad at all, actually. But Constant Change is the order of the day, so you throw away a perfectly functional OS and replace it with the bastard child of Android and Win7 and you get this piece of shit. I'd wipe it and install 7 but then I'd lose the touch screen functionality; I'm hoping they managed to work the bugs out before this machine croaks.

I love it. It works a lot better with the HDTV than Windows 7.
