This one was 300g at 8 weeks.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

What breeders do to animals is fucking obscene.

I'm not particularly pro animal rights, but this kind of extreme breeding is wanton cruelty, which I am against.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

The dogs don't get a say in this, do they?

Lol!

Watch the video. The dog was just a terrier but a freak. It's no different to the World's smallest man.

I don't know of any breeders breeding smaller and smaller men.
Although it could make sense. It would cut down the cost of a space program if we had men that size.

If you mean breeding for extreme features, such as the pushed-in faces of bulldogs etc. I quite agree.

However, selectively breeding an already small breed to be even smaller would probably cause less health problems than breeding for large sizes, which has pushed the envelope of the basic canine form, and lead to hip dysplacia etc.

Dog ancestors in the wild probably didn't get small because that ecological niche was already taken, rather than structural limitations...

I can imagine rat sized dogs, hunting mice and insects in the undergrowth...

:fp:

FFS! I know no one breeds small men! But they just happen sometimes. That's the exact case with the dog in the OP. It wasn't bred to be small. It was a freak of nature. The owner nearly threw it in the bin after mistaking it for a piece of placenta from the rest of the litter.

I gotta admit, that is so fucking cute I can hardly stand it. It would last about 5 minutes in this house before it got eaten, but it's cute nonetheless.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

There's a hot dog bun with that dog's name on it out there somewhere.

I don't think the Labrador would wait for the bun, just a quick chomp-n-swaller.

Yarp.. they're huge.

My rottweiler is pretty big as well. Not as tall as the wolves around here, but probably a lot more muscular and heavier.
