That's Australia?
Not Australia. I think it's somewhere in Utah, or close by. Famous location for well exposed example of dune-deposited sandstone.

Looks like perfectly normal sedimentary bedding to me. Which says that Mars has some geological processes like Earth.
Although it may look like a forum, this site is actually a crowd-sourced science project modelling the slow but inexorable heat death of the universe.
