Yeah, I read about that a few months ago and it is interesting.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

In comparison the rest of us are not color blind, but just see lesser gradients in color difference.

I read a crank once, years and years ago that claimed that there were women who could see a more vivid spectrum because it made gathering easier and that certain men had more perceived a more vivid band along the blue end were successful on nocturnal hunting. However he also said that God was a communication encoded into plant tryptamines, waiting for us to evolve to a level to translate the information.
