Reminds me, I need to put aside some extra money for a doctor's visit next week

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

I'm all for universal health care...so long as YOU are paying for it for ME and I don't have to pay anything ever, including taxes.
How's that suit you, Sparky?

My wife has a friend who recently spent a few weeks travelling around the US. She was astounded at the massive numbers of homeless people she saw, including young families with kids, sleeping rough or dossing down in a car. Sure, we have them here too, but she was seriously taken aback by the numbers...
If families with kids are homeless, expect another child mortality spike...
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?

Libertarianism. I thought that would have been obvious enough.

Fair enough, but Seth hasn't posted here that I can see, so it was a wasted shot...

Not noticing Seth's posts is a naturally evolved defence mechanism in humans.
