Damn things are going to need wheels in a few year, they keep boltin' shit on to 'em. Then someone will come along and announce a great miracle, a rifle that's just a rifle. And we'll start the whole damn cycle over again.

I don't get all of this. Does it shoot multiple types of ammo?

Sticks and stones work, cost a lot less and are pretty damn plentiful.

@ Tero: Yeah, exploding rounds that are digitally controlled to explode at a certain distance, either in front of the target, on it, or behind it. It presupposes that the shooter will have the guts to correctly work all the electronics while under fire, instead of pissing his pants and crying for mommy.

Assuming you have the correct loads and remember the sequence. And can hump enough 40mm amount along with the rifle rounds while lugging a laptop computer with a stock around a combat situation.

Sounds perfect. :coffee:

They already have that, dude. I'm not kidding. I saw an artificial limb being controlled by a wireless link implanted in the trooper's brain. She was duly impressed.

She got a bunch of medals in exchange for her arm, so I'd say a fair few.

Does it dispense lubricant, and have a place to put the tissues?
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

It looks like they just took the OICW (objective individual combat weapon) idea and finished it. - Looks pretty good, too.
