When you leave a room, turn off the light.

Please?

:bunny:

No, really. I'm really serious!

TURN OFF THE FUCKING LIGHTS

Okay, I feel so much better now.

What about low energy light bulbs? If I leave those on does a bunny maybe just feel a bit faint? :console:

I think a hamster dies instead, but I'll need a large government grant to investigate.

Although it may look like a forum, this site is actually a crowd-sourced science project modelling the slow but inexorable heat death of the universe.

What about kerosene (paraffin to you limeys) lamps? Don't tell me a naked mole rat dies, I'll cry.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Since he had cat flu recently, I leave a low watt lamp on round the clock for Benji to keep warm under. He spends a lot of time curled up there. In general, though, most things are turned off when not in use.

No, I don't think it works that way. But naked mole rats will die just by screaming at them, so I'm not sure that this is a big concern to the non-naked mole rat community. Indifferent to your suffering, I know, but we've got bigger fish to fry.
