Unique Writing Styles For Identity Identification

I recall some software capable of picking out unique writing glitches and patterns that could be compared with a database to pick up both national and regional origins of a piece of writing. I wonder if it is still available and whether its been developed any further? A sufficently sophistiated version could rival and even surpass IP idenification I was thinking?

Interesting, but one would have thought that, context, language ability, mental state and other subjective values would preclude an accurate identification. Too many variables. But then again, technology is a wonderful thing.

It may be that the problems were insurmoutable which is why I only read one article and then no more. On the other hand it may have been given Black Project status and even now the miltary are using it for covert surveilance?
