Well the big ones wiggle more quickly it's a wave when you do wave experiments on it but it comes in discrete particles if you do particle experiments ,If you do an experiment to test it it's both a wave and a particle the only thing it's not is a sound because the wave front is in a different direction ....Clear on that ?

the waves silly all the particles all the particles are the same size ...in fact they have no mass ! I hope I'm making this more clear ?

OK, it's starting to make sense now.

But this bit.

The particle travel in all directions, don't they? So how does the wave travel in a different direction from sound wave if the particles go all over the place?

Waves don't travel in all directions. Waves spread out as they are interfered with.

In a standard beam of light, the wave motion interferes with itself, spreading the beam, (as each one is out of sync in terms of both frequency and wave alignment), but in an aligned beam, such as a laser, the wave itself diffuses very, very slowly.

Stick your thumb up, your first finger forward and your second finger at right angles. It's something to do with that, as I recall.
