It's also a massive derail by a moderator yet again :coffee:

Where else was the thread ever going to go but down into a black-hole of punnery?

I suppose we could have discussed the effect of this chap's deforestation on global warming, perhaps debated whether a seedling was really a tree, or merely a collection of cells and whether it had a right to life.

Apart from that, it was always going to be puns. I am holly convinced of that.

It would make a great episode of House too!

The bloke had a tree growing in his lung? What medical alternative to cutting it out can you think of? Weedkiller injections perhaps?

I meant the plethora of possibilities opened up by the idea of planting something inside of you. Maybe there's a tree that secretes aphrodisiacs or viagra-like substances!

Indeed. But why would (no pun) you possibly compromise your respiratory system, with a foreign object? and I'm not going to even mention the amount of pain that this would cause.

A typical seed requires no sunlight, at the beginning, to germinate. What do you think happens when that energy is used up? It dies.... and rots.

You spend an hour with your mouth open towards the sun each day. It could even be hooked up to your bloodstream to provide oxygen. We could be amphibious!!
