Unless Seth personally records each of a minimum of 1500 thermometers daily and does the math on excel, global warming can't be measured.

You don't measure shit by fiddling with the numbers from the past to make it look colder than it actually was based on temperatures that were adjusted for errors back when they were taken in the first place. The only reason for doing that is to make it look like temperatures have been going up (a few hundredths of a degree) lately by skewing past temperatures downwards.

In other words, politically and economically motivated scientific fraud on an enormous scale.

You, I, and everyone else on the planet today will be dead a hundred years before it becomes a problem, if in fact it becomes a problem at all. Right now it looks like a bigger problem might be emerging. We can easily adapt to a slightly higher sea level. I don't think we can really adapt to a mile-thick ice sheet covering four-fifths of the planet.

Only if you like avocados and citrus. Me, I'm a carnivore and I can kill and eat a multitude of living creatures without having to resort to the commercial food chain.

People who think like that need to be bled before they depart this planet. They're just missing something moral most of us kenned as children. They need the whip hand of orthodoxy or the iron fist of government over them, else they revert to unconstrained narcissism and even more of the rest of us have to suffer their existence.

The North Atlantic between Newfoundland and Ireland is practically the only region of the world that has defied global warming and even cooled. Last winter there even was the coldest on record – while globally it was the hottest on record. Our recent study (Rahmstorf et al. 2015) attributes this to a weakening of the Gulf Stream System, which is apparently unique in the last thousand years.

The whole world is warming. The whole world? No! A region in the subpolar Atlantic has cooled over the past century – unique in the world for an area with reasonable data coverage (Fig. 1). So what’s so special about this region between Newfoundland and Ireland?

Hey, we got left holding the bag for the prior generation and managed to make life for all those newbies much, much better than it ever was in human history, so the next generation can shut the fuck up and say "thank you very much for making our lives so magnificent, opulent and comfortable, please sit back and take it easy, we'll take care of any lingering problems."
