we raise too much corn, and the supply of seeds is cheap enough to produce corn cheaply for making ethanol...though the math is fuzzy.

not quite clear why you would use seed corn for it. Seed corn is protected to chemicals to make every seed sprout.
it seemed to say they sent all the contaminated corn to the one ethanol plant, whereas the rest do indeed give the protein rich remains (still bottoms) to farms as cattle feed.

yeah, Indian corn is totally overcultivated, including in places it never should (places that don't have the required subtropical climate, or the abundant waterfall for instance, dustbowl anyone?)... Basically, corn growing is NOT environmentally friendly, and even less so when the cultivation is heavy on intrants.
