So? What of it? Do you think the Wright brothers would've acheived anything without dangerous behaviour? What about the first men on the moon?
What was implied by Gallstone's post was that men die needlessly out of stupidity were as women are oh so smart.
Whereas.

No.
I'm sorry. I'm drinking. Stupid of me.

Oookay.
No jokes that have men as the subject--got'cha', even if they are standing on ladders in a ladder thread.
But why did you even feel you had to make it about men instead of just pointing out a bunch of idiots without reference to sex?
They are men.
Post your own women doing stupid things images.

I'll fix it so you can have a vindictive evening.

This place has become a real drag tonight.
I'd rather go argue gun control at ratskep.

The Wright brother's example is a poor one. It certainly had risks, but they worked as hard and as rationally as they could to minimise those risks.

The examples Gallstones refers to (and they are indeed usually done by males) involve needless risk, and actions taken with very little rational thought.

That would lead to an escalation of the situation.
I wouldn't let that worry you. Just learn to take the stares, and move onwards and upwards.
You've elevated my opinion of you yet again.

The ladder isn't going anywhere.

Unless part of it fails.
Or the siding slips.
Or the railing fails.
Or he turns quickly and it flips.
Or if shit happens.

So, yeah, looks safe to me too.

Exactly. Barring the railing coming loose or the wall collapsing, it's pretty safe. The ladder looks like a fibreglass job, so not much chance of it failing.

Like I said, he can turn suddenly and it's over except for Wumbo's collection run. Or a bolt can give out. Etc.

If the bottom rung of that ladder was lashed firmly to the bottom part of the railing (and the railing was in good condition) it would be more secure.

Mind you, I wouldn't go on it, mainly because I haven't got a head for heights, certainly not ones like that...

I don't know why he didn't just use an extension rod for his brush or roller.

They're easy to doctor up, too, and don't involve risking life and limb.

I think he's trowelling some drywall compound, but I'm not sure.
