Conspiracy Theories
Re: Conspiracy Theories
When I heard what Jones said (in that podcast I mentioned here, where he was interviewed) he said that antifa was there, but they didn't start the shit, it was righties.
I might be mis-remembering, but I think he said it WAS the proud boys and...um...not boog...qanon I think
He said he saw them starting 'it', and taking off toward the capitol, and he circled the building with a bullhorn, trying to stop them (with no success) for awhile.
Of course, I'm going by memory, but that's the gist. Jones said it was his fault, he felt terrible, and tried to stop it.
It was a 'friendly' interview, of course, but he didn't say anything you might guess, from his reputation and reporting on him.

Re: Conspiracy Theories
I think I saw an article talking about him trying to divert the crowd. Was the podcast you mentioned the Crowder interview?
I haven't gotten around to that yet.

Re: Conspiracy Theories
That was the Crowder interview.
I think you get it though, without listening. He was interviewed 'friendly', said nothing that sounded outrageous about the 6th, and will be presumed to have said all kinds of things that he didn't.
He referred to video (I was just doing audio) showing him climbing up on makeshift stages, to get height and try to reach people with his bullhorn.
But, as I've heard a bunch of times, riots are riots. There really aren't many good ways to deal with them.

Roll away the stone...
Rise again, eh...US Police say they have uncovered intelligence of a "possible plot" by a militia group to breach the Capitol building in Washington DC on Thursday.
The announcement comes nearly two months after a mob of supporters of then-president Donald Trump stormed the iconic building to try to stop Congress from certifying Joe Biden's election victory.
The threat appears to be connected to a far-right conspiracy theory, mainly promoted by supporters of QAnon, that Mr Trump will rise again to power on March 4

Re: Conspiracy Theories
How do they think that'll go with 20,000 troops in the city? I'm betting it's all 'big boys talk' to look cool on alt-social media.

Re: Conspiracy Theories
The 'big boys talk' on alt social media is that this is stupid, anything organized tomorrow is a trap. Stay away, stay alert, see something say something...usual stuff.

Re: Conspiracy Theories
No, I was hearing the same things before the 6th.
I think I'm not 'deep enough' to get the subversive info, but it looks more likely that the organizing took place on facebook and twitter. You know, the ones who will be 'Parlered' for being the organizing platform of the events of the 6th...

Whatever the deal, they don't have a friend in the White House.

Re: Conspiracy Theories
You can't out-violence the state. They had their chance on the 6th - the place was virtually unguarded and they walked right in. They'll never get another chance like that. From now on it'll have to be threatening emails and shitposting on whatever platform they can sneak into, although there's always the outside chance of another mass shooting or Oklahoma-style fertilizer bomb I guess.Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 8:51 pmNo, I was hearing the same things before the 6th.

Re: Conspiracy Theories
More than that, it's probably personal now. A cop died, and if they're like the cops I know, his fellows aren't going to be as finicky about cause of death as the politicians and their pundit friends are. That's a rally I wouldn't go near.Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 8:57 pmYou can't out-violence the state. Re: Conspiracy Theories
You're probably right. I can't believe officers didn't call for backup on the day - and yet it didn't seem to arrive until the mob lost it's enthusiasm and Trump told the 'beautiful people' 'we love you' and told them to go home. I wouldn't want to be a protestor at a repeat performance and try to 'reason' with cop under those circumstances.
