He cant admit he is not a vegan which was a shortened version vegetarianism but he shortened it again making it look as he is in the same club as the vegans. A highland dancer.

Brian, is there a reason why you use the word "veg*n"?
Brian explained it a few hours ago. Scott Douchy either didn't read that explanation, or he is maliciously misinterpreting it.

Very middle class.
What rot. Despite your unfounded assumptions about my motivation and character it's just a way of referring to vegetarians and vegans at the same time. Pretty easy to figure out in context I reckon despite the lame attempt at class shaming.

It is somewhat illogical. Just use the broad term "vegetarian", accepting that vegans are a subset of those...

It's perfectly logical.

* is any characters.
Veg [any characters]ns captures both vegetarian and vegan, as well as vegassians, vegaloogians, and vegns.

But to find fault with that is to miss its charm.
The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

I know a jewish guy who systematically writes "g*d" when that word is called on, maybe there is a question of not using the Word in vain?

Do you think those people have time, knowledge and the money to go into a vegetarian diet and never mind a stupid vegan one.
"Those people" are just people. Veg*ns are just people who make a particular kind of decision about certain things they buy and consume.

Where are they going to buy all this lovely vegetarian food?
Every food in the supermarket that isn't meat or meat-based is vegetarian food. That's most of the food in the supermarket.

Poverty Brian does not allow such fallacies as the one you are pushing.
A fallacy is an error in reasoning or logic. Having a different opinion or point-of-view to you is not fallacious even if you believe you are right in every regard on every matter. I have personal reasons for eating the way I do, just like you have. I'll only say that my personal choices are right for me. You on the other hand have said that your personal choices are right for everyone. Who's pushing what here exactly?
Scot Dutchy wrote:

You are arguing from the luxury of the middle class. Those people dont think of food in the same way it is for them filling stomachs.
Who are 'those people' and what is 'middle-class' in this context exactly? I am entirely reliant on the state's welfare system for my income. In the UK that places me officially in poverty because it's an income less (far less) than the poverty line, which is drawn at less than 60% of median income. Can you please explain how, in these circumstance, being a vegetarian makes me middle-class or my diet a middle-class luxury? The only way you can do that is by divorcing class from income, but while that might actually have legs as an idea you're still using things like income, housing, and geographic location to have a pop at the poor - whether they're veg*n or not,

Again, your preconceptions are getting the better of you. What you're doing here is upbraiding a certain class of people, the poor, for their circumstances and presumed food culture; for being too poor, stupid and self-indulgent to make a person choice to be veg*n OR to be aware or take care of their nutrition - as you did when you chided the denizens of Muirhouse etc for congregating around the chip shop or shopping at Iceland. You like to buy the best food you can afford don't you? You probably even have some of it delivered. You have the middle-class luxury of choice in that regard, the luxury of chosing whatever you want to eat from whatever there is on offer. But your circumstances, your normal, is not the standard to which everyone else must, or even can, adhere, and it's not reasonable or fair to hold others to that standard either.

It seems to me that when it comes to food your hobby horse is just the old-fashioned high horse of middle-class snobbery.

Well Brian talk about grabbing loose straws. Never mind.
I am sorry you are on state support many are in the UK (you dont believe the figures do you). You approach to food is still totally different. They are not interested in the best food or diet and you just give them too much credit for thinking otherwise. They could not care if it is a pizza or a Chinese carry out and they are included in any survey which where this all started.
