I don't think antifa are a club with a definite membership and badges like boy scouts...

Instead, it a loosely defined movement, united in opposing public events or marches by right-wingers of various types. And I'm not suggesting that they are always or automatically violent, just that they frequently end up having running battles with the other side. Maybe it's inevitable, but it also has a downside in terms of PR...

No. I didn't feel like explaining to you that I'm amused by the hypocrisy evidenced by the left in lazily classifying the entire right as Nazis in the worst cases, and maybe only Trump supporters in the better ones, and then disclaiming any identification of Antifa violence on the basis of whether they were in uniform only to have you lack the capacity to understand.

I'm not anti-left, whatever that is. Maybe rEv just coined it, or maybe it's the latest response by the Punch-A-Nazi folks to criticism, I don't know. There are a lot of good ideas from the left that just need to be tempered in the fires of centrism where calm and rational heads prevail.

ETA: Just so you're clear pErvin - offering criticism isn't being anti-something. If anything, it's being pro-something, often the thing your criticizing. If I were anti-left I'd be happy to let you all continue being more Nazi than the Nazis, probably egging you on to commit further violence and violations of human rights, and chuckling with evil glee when public opinion on you turns sour and your movements are declared violent by the authorities - maybe even terrorist.

It's odd that anyone would be like "how do you know it's them??" Mostly they're just sayin' hoo-ray for our side, right?

Hogwash. The hard left, including antifa, have been harping on about how awesome it is to punch people they label Nazis, white supremacists, etc. In fairly large numbers, in public, without apology or shame, the hard left, including but not limited to antifa, is stating or implying that the President should be murdered, and that people who support him should be beaten.

The riots by the hard left are constant now (over here in the US), and they start violence consistently. They are showing up at places like Berkeley and Phoenix for the express purpose of fighting and attacking people.

That's not in any way equating anything with Nazis, KKK or white supremacists, but it's getting to the point over here that words don't even matter. Labels don't mean anything anymore. The hard left labels mere conservatives as neo-Nazis and white supremacists. That's what they're trying to do, make it impossible to be conservative, or even to be libertarian, or even just "pro free speech." The big thing now is for the hard left to dub anyone who says "free speech" to be a Nazi or a fascist.

Fuck them. They're a bunch of fucking douchebags. Anyone involved in antifa or other hard left organizations can go fuck themselves. So can anyone involved in any neonazi, racist or white/black supremacist organization. they can go fuck themselves, too. But, as long as they're not hitting people, I really don't give a fuck what they believe. But, if you go to Berkely looking to chase anyone out of there with a club or a fist, then you're wrong. I don't care if you're trying to run a pedophile or a convicted violent felon/rapist/murderer. If that person is not violating the law, he or she has the right to be there and to say what they want.

That's the thing with the left nowadays. They just call whatever they oppose "hate speech" and then push for it to be silenced, with the extreme lefties doing it with violence.
