If that is the case we could argue if it's nature or nurture ...... Maybe you just didn't WANT to be intelligent enough

Just my experience.
Good stuff. It's that sort of thing I wanted to know. I have no idea what it would feel like to be "under" anyway, if it feels like anything at all. And I think I would probably be the same as you, and not be a very good client for it.
I've been offered all sorts of drugs in my time, and never been attracted to any form of mind bending. Except alcohol and Marijuana, in small recreational doses.
Losing any degree of self-control doesn't appeal to me.

Ha ha.
I have no problem there. I've had it measured and it's above average. That's good enough for me. In fact average would have been perfectly ok too.

People can still talk shite, or sense, whatever their level. As I'm hearing now.

Well tell me how hypnotherapy has any results greater than placebo effects ? If you cannot then please explain to me why hypnotherapy is more valid than charlatan preachers or aromatherapy ......
Sorry the fact I'm a Gitt will not validate your cause Placebo is Placebo, to claim that your chosen WOO is worth sensible investigation when your only justification is PLACEBO is comical
IMHO this all goes with your stupid opinion that you think The person who handed you a plate should get paid more that the person who washes it !
Thinking It's not for everybody ........ is it Mistermack ?
I AM aware That my opinion would be worth more if I had tits and smiled at you......

If you had tits, it would all make sense.
I would quite happily listen to your blather, if they were perky.

On the subject, do you not get that the placebo effect is a REAL effect? The pill might be sugar, but the effect is real, and has been proved so.
But if you have evidence to dispute that, I'm all ears. No matter what size the text.

Edit :
Wikipedia wrote: Sometimes patients given a placebo treatment will have a perceived or actual improvement in a medical condition, a phenomenon commonly called the placebo effect or placebo response.

I just remembered who the other person was who reckoned that hypnotism worked for them.
It was a friend who reckoned he never had an anesthetic at the dentist. The dentist put him "under" .
Can't vouch for it myself, but he wasn't a bullshitter.

Yes, well done BUT if you count placebo as a real rather than discounting it then cannabis oil cures ALL cancer and positive thinking cures spinal injury We all know that the placebo effect is real BUT to use that to justify something that has NO demonstrable effects other than the placebo is stupid .
If you are going to justify hypno - therapy on no other grounds than placebo then you MUST also believe in voodoo .
Maybe you think you can argue but trust me you cannot EITHER it's the just Placebo effect or it is a real thing .......
I'm sure you think that it's Real just like you think your food is better if you tip the whore lots of money and she smiles at you and says she will ask the chef to cook you something special ..LOL The amount of shit and come you have eaten is amazing :)

That's an Ad-hom because you lost another argument Maybe I should cry to the mods ?
Or maybe not, because NO moderation on this planet can make the two threads you are posting in look like wins ......
AromaHypnoAngel therapy does NOT work and Waiting staff do NOT deserve more money than Kitchen staff .
These things will NOT change, these things will not change because any Mod tells me I was mean to you .
and crying like a tiny abused baby just makes me have even less respect for you than your obvious low IQ would deserve .
IF you would like to defend either of the STUPID threads you have got PWNED in tonight then go ahead but you KNOW you have nothing left to say all you can do is go "Bwaaah bwaaah to the mods "

I got up on stage once to be hypnotized. Nothing happened. Complete fuck all. I don't think anything happened to anyone, but they got up and clucked like a chicken or whatever. I didn't and the guy got a bit pissed off, made me leave the stage.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Yeh, I've seen that too.
I don't know why people go along with it. Anyone can see they are faking. How did he try to persuade you?

Just kept snapping his fingers in my face and getting irritated. I just looked at him and he finally said "give him a round of applause" and pushed me to side stage. I've no idea why the other idiots went along with it, I think it would be really funny if it didn't work on anybody.

On the news a few seconds ago, a teenager with an eating disorder, who had only eaten chicken nuggets, and white bread since childhood, was cured in a one hour session.
She was readily eating foods that would have made her vomit before the session.

A friend's wife had been a smoker for years. She'd tried many ways to quit.
One session with a hypnotherapist and she has never smoked since. That was about thirty years ago.

I know it's anecdotes, but what the fuck? It really worked for them. The effect was definitely not imaginary, and they had tried hard to change, without success.
What do you think?
Placebo effect?
