Sexual effects. Sexual dysfunction such as decreased sexual desire, erectile difficulties and delayed ejaculation has been reported with all classes of antidepressants. Sexual dysfunction is one of the most frequent and persistent SSRI adverse effect. These drugs are more likely to cause sexual dysfunction than the TCAs

Fuck that! I was actually thinking of speaking to the doctor about getting some medication after thinking over it for months but there's not a hope now. I'd rather be miserable.
Looks like I'll have to resort to Plan C.
Is Plan C mindless violence?

And looting!

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Plan A - CBT (too expensive).
Plan B - Free drugs (undesirable side effects).
Plan C - become a (atheist) Buddhist and meditate regularly under supervision from a competent teacher

Libertarianism: The belief that out of all the terrible things governments can do, helping people is the absolute worst.

I'm not even entitled to free drugs.

No free CBT if you get a referral from your GP?

Never assume, dear boy. You can ask 'em tomorrow while you're getting your ears syringed.

This reminds me...
Do you think some of these drugs have a placebo effect on psychiatrists beyond what they would expect and admit to?
I do.

That is a different class, and yes there are many kids where we just pretend there was a problem or a solution. But this goes back to my statement about messed up modern life. ADD is not a disease. If it were not for ADD people, we would still be sitting not too far from the tree in Africa. Having come down but never wandered off.

What I meant to point out was that there could also be a placebo effect on psychiatrists when they prescribe certain potions or tinctures (or SSRI's)
