While googling for foetal resorption the other day I came across something that said it is perhaps less energy consuming for a woman to expel the womb lining and rebuild it each month than it is to keep it.. Unfortunately I didn't pay much attention or make a mental note of where it was because it wasn't what I was looking for at the time.
Men! They're all beasts!
Yeah. But isn't it wonderful?

I read that too.

Makes evolutionary sense, especially since 100s thousands years ago women didn't mentruate as often.

Was just thinking that we are tropical animals and omniverous. Would explain why we are fertile all year round, rather than have seasons.
Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies. ~ Marx

Welcome to the board harmenia!

You could start by reading this page http://pms.about.com/od/myths/a/menstrual_myths.htm , it's fairly sane and straight forward (and agrees with what I have learned first in high school sexual education, then for my nurse's degree and mostly through being a female, and a mother for the last 12 years).
"The internet is made of people. People matter. This includes you. Stop trying to sell everything about yourself to everyone. Don’t just hammer away and repeat and talk at people—talk TO people. It’s organic. Make stuff for the internet that matters to you, even if it seems stupid. Do it because it’s good and feels important. Put up more cat pictures. Make more songs. Show your doodles. Give things away and take things that are free." - Maureen J
