They didn't appear on radar, I heard on one report, so they must have been panelled?

Why do you believe the report? Someone you know?

I am dubious since it was a Pakistani and they might have a valid reason to say that like a firing squad for incompetance?

Okay, then. Another reason they might not show up on radar is because they were 10-12" off the ground for the majority of the trip.

And another might be that the radar "developed a malfunction" at a convenient time. I don't know how much "neutral" analysis you merkins are getting, but European coverage is strongly hinting about the Pakistan authorities being a lot less in the dark about the raid than is generally admitted.

Well, there was this claim by Victor Belenko (MiG 25 defector) about Stewed Rabbit a la MiG radar. Don't know if it's true, but these are the people who used to siphon off brake fluid and suchlike to brew their own.

I seen gulls fall dead from flying through a beam at close range. Don't know if they were scrambled and hit the deck before they cleaned up or actually died in the air, but the effect was the same.
