I reckon they'll be back. Typewriters are far more sexy, with secretaries wearing stockings making that loud clackety noise, and the banging and dinging of the carriage.
There must be a market for them in the field of fetishes. Or is it just me?

Coing completely digital is dangerous... for some reason, I've got a feeling that digitally stored data is less secure than hardcopy, probably due to the number of HD that I lost for good without being able to secure their contents over the 15 years or so that I've been computerized.

I take one copy of a document that I get from the Naval History and Heritage Command, and make an unlimited number of copies by putting it online. My sites are mirrored at military schools all over the planet, so there are many, many places where copies are held. And those documents are on mainframe computers for the most part, computers which get updated regularly.Svartalf wrote:Coing completely digital is dangerous... for some reason, I've got a feeling that digitally stored data is less secure than hardcopy, probably due to the number of HD that I lost for good without being able to secure their contents over the 15 years or so that I've been computerized.
