Hi all,

You may or may not be aware that Professor Peter Higgs is on this years honours list in the UK.

Professor Higgs, as you are also probably aware, in 1964, speculated the theory of the "god particle". He then spent 40 years involved in the search for this illusive particle, which was 99.9999% discovered in July this year. In recognition of his "conspicuous" work he has been awarded the "Companion of Honour".. CH. This is along side a plethora of sporting "heroes" (not one life saved as yet) and celebrity twats who have received OBE and MBE honours.

The discovery of the Higgs boson will possibly be one of the most important discoveries this century, with repercussions unfathomable to the human race.

Some bunch of Lycra clad wankers are of absolutely no consequence to anybody but themselves, and their actions have no bearing on humanity whatsoever.

Once again science is treated with disdain and ignorance by those in power.

Higgs should have gotten a knighthood, and these self congratulating sporting pricks can go fuck themselves.
