Re: Tea Party vs Zombie Winner!
Thank you Zigmen, for a brilliant game. Going to hide now, for a while.
It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

Feck you bastard!
Congratulations.
I swear I was screaming out your name just as the Polar bear tore out my windpipe. "It's Fe-e-auuuUUUGH!"

Thanks, zigmen. I enjoyed it.

Humbug! You played a valiant pro-town game, dug deep, asked good questions, got elected Mayor, and lasted this long!amok wrote:Thank you Zigmen, for a brilliant game. Going to hide now, for a while.

...and I mean, it's mafia101, that feck is always scum
Re: Tea Party vs Zombie Winner!
Unfortunate, but it was a fun game, thanks! About that locket, I looked over the PM a second time and still paid no attention to it. I think it was because there was no action attached to it. Sorry!
Amok, get some rest and prepare for your next game

Re: Tea Party vs Zombie Winner!
zigmen asked me to comment about the game balance.
a 9 player game usually has 1 or 2 specials, depending on whether the scum team is all vanilla or has a don or roleblocker. a 10 player game usually is the same.
this game had 1 person claim to be special, which was a sign that mantis was town, despite the freakiness of her role claim - brains, bus driver turned seer, etc.
Feck lucked onto something huge on the final day. zigmen tells me that Amok and Praying were busdrivered, so when Feck got the orange skeleton key, he assumed it had belonged to Praying. It was the item that Amok started with.
In turn, when Feck brought up the orange key today, Amok thought it was a special message from the <town? indie?> thief to her, so that she would know Feck was on her side. Bad assumption, but understandable.
Anyway, In such a small game, the morphing special was confusing and looked kinda scummy. The items that were being stolen were used to scumkill players. if everyone had been up front about what they started with, then this would have become apparent right away. but people assumed they were involved in someone's win condition and didn't talk much about them until it was too late.
The game seems balanced overall, but I think the stolen items added a lot of confusion and wifom and the game mechanic was obscured enough that it wound up really hurting town. I've gotten this kind of complaint about a couple of my games, too. it's a difficult balance, to have some twists, but still keep a reasonable chance for town to figure things out by midgame. in a 10 player game, midgame is basically day 2, and that's just not enough time.

Re: Tea Party vs Zombie Winner!
I thought it was a great game. Mind numbing.
Well played Feck.
Proves my point about scum being the ones looking the least scummy.
Thanks zigmen.

Re: Tea Party vs Zombie Winner!
Yes I did assume there was a thief and it wasn't all Mantis but since i've only seen a bus driverswap players around as far as night actions ,not items, before you can see why . That was a hard game because I genuinely did miss nightfall on day one when Ksen was killed (I got them ALL for you buddy ) so I had nothing to look like a pro-town action and I knew every lynch would just flip town so I couldn't start a BW or put the hammer down . Mantis was clever To view Def not me . I got the Seer lynched , to win again
thank you GMs that was interesting ! sorry town but
