Tarot Mafia Rules and Peanuts

This is a No PM game.

It is possible that a player who has been lynched or night killed may get a night action after their demise. For this reason, zombie players MUST NOT DISCUSS THE GAME privately. As always, zombie play in the Peanut Gallery or Game Thread is not allowed.

Game days will last 24 hours (except for day 1 due to my late start). Game nights will last 12 hours. Night actions are due no later than 11 hours after nightfall. I'll consider starting game days early if all night actions are in fairly early.

Do not post a quote or a screenshot of your role PM. It's ok to paraphrase, and it's ok to post your card if you wish.

Players who don't post at least once in a game day may be godkilled or replaced at my discretion.

Every player is a tarot card. Scum players have safe-claim cards.

I am using cards from the Tarot de Paris, in part because the entire deck is available online. I'll refer to cards by their more traditional names as well as the TdP name, and I'll use a bizarre and personal meld of interpretations which may differ a little from the card meanings on the website.

Pentacles = Matter
Swords = Air
Wands = Fire
Cups = Water

Each game day and game night will be under the influence of a Major Arcana card that I will draw randomly and announce. This card's influence may affect the votes and/or night actions of some or all players. I will announce the card and the effect in the OP of the Day thread.

Example:
Day 1 - High Priestess Reversed: Players with informative roles will lose .5 vote.
Night 4 - The Sphinx: One dead player will be able to put in a night kill on a living player.

So you are using an actual tarot deck to run this game? Somehow I didn't realize that you were going to do that but it's a cool idea. Is it going to be okay that i know nothing about Tarot?
