Sorry but I am going to defend Gonzo here. I think he was surprised that I even asked. I had to look at my role and then looked at Charlou's reveal and notice that there was a difference between the two. I think he assumed all of us would do it. Linus did.
But I do think that if Oblivion did PM him and he did not respond...well, I can see where the game would be broken in that way.
Oblivion, if you are town, why did you not answer Linus's question yesterday? That combined with your behaviour is what is making me think that you are scum.

ob, that will relieve us of losing time tomorrow, but it doesn't address the unfairness of maybe losing 2 town and a big chunk of today. it kinda feels like this game might need a reboot.

If the game is broken, I can't fix it. That's for the GM to address. All I can do is help my team. and eliminating a day wasted lynching me will help my team.Uselesstwit wrote:ob, that will relieve us of losing time tomorrow, but it doesn't address the unfairness of maybe losing 2 town and a big chunk of today. it kinda feels like this game might need a reboot.

you're apparently agreeing with my reasoning for thinking that if diva isn't lying about sending that PM, then Gonzo answering one pm but not addressing the request in the other is gamebreaking because it's going to cost town at least 2 players to learn that the GM did indeed answer one PM and ignore the other.Zigmen wrote:What makes you think I've changed my mind?oblivion wrote:weren't you telling me not to be hasty just a short while ago?Zigmen wrote:The game would be broken because if, as you suggest, the GM provided you with game-answers that he deprived the whole roster of, that would be bias.divagreen wrote:lol. there's really only one pro-team decision for the involved players to make.

So. Why again are you requesting a godkill? I personally dont think that a a game is broken because one player quotes a PM (that's prolly godkillable) and the other player jumps the gun without double checking with the GM. IF you are both telling the truth, these are PLAYER ERRORS pure and simple. Then again, I'm pretty certain one of you is lying anyway. If diva isn't scum then you probably are. You guys have really boxed things in to where the GM can't answer without giving up info that would break the game anyway. Did you consider sending another PM asking if he could even answer your question?oblivion wrote:I've PMed Gonzo asking him to hang around after nightfall so that he can godkill me right away in the event diva flips town.
If he declares nightfall at the appointed hour, then this should be sorted one way or another pretty quickly.
Let's wait and see what happens before we go calling any WHAAAmbulances.

I'm good with where my vote is. All this other talk will be a non-issue come nightfall.oblivion wrote:bull fucking shit.divagreen wrote:I asked Gonzo because Oblivion was making me feel like shit about getting the seer lynched. If she was, I was going to ask to be subbed out.

you said you sent this PM long before I said jack shit about thinking charlou was town.

I did not. I seriously thought (and still think) that diva is lying. If so, she's putting on a great act. But, note the lack of further response to this:Contrapposto wrote:So. You can go back and check that part of the post-nightfall discussion. She claims to have sent that pm about 30 minutes after nightfall. It was 2 hours after nightfall before I even mentioned that I thought Charlou was town. And it wasn't until yesterday morning that I said anything about having felt bad about getting the seer lynched to save someone who had claimed vanilla town.oblivion wrote:bull fucking shit.divagreen wrote:I asked Gonzo because Oblivion was making me feel like shit about getting the seer lynched. Okay. I have consulted with someone. This is not a no-reveal game. I did not receive privileged information. If people were confused about Charlou's cardflip then they should have asked. Oblivion is claiming that she asked. But town does not know that anymore than if I did.
The game is only broken if the GM responded to one PM and not the other. However, I think a happy solution would be if Oblivion did send a message to the GM and he did not respond that he should state this in the thread. Does that sound like a good solution?

So, because you only see one way out, you assume that i must be on board with that plan, but by doing so means that I've changed my mind and that is somehow scummy of me?oblivion wrote: there's really only one pro-team decision for the involved players to make.
That's a lot of what-ifs.
Personally, I think Diva is full of shit.
But, if you want to talk about the "what-if" she flips as Town, then let's talk about it.
It would mean that Gonzo showed favoritism, that Diva had information she chose not to share, and that you pushed this line of assault on her.
Yes, if she pops Town, you will look scummy to me again, but it may not be for the reasons you think.
So, it seems to me that you offering yourself as a sacrifice buys Town an extra lynch by not having to waste it on you, but we haven't heard from Gonzo, yet. Who knows how he would deal with this mess as a GM?
There's a good probability that he might do nothing. After he cleared up our question about the Roster still showing 2 VIPs as still alive, I caught on right away that Charlou had to have been Scum. That's his due diligence, and I'm not sure he even owed us that much, but it does offset his clarification (if any) to Diva.
With the GM off the hook, we are left with whatever we are left with.
If Diva pops as Town, and Gonzo refuses to godkill you or (the way I'd handle it) does godkill you and goes directly into nightfall, you just lost Town an entire day to discuss the ramifications of Diva's reveal.
Now, if you are so sure Gonzo doesn't feel vindicated by revealing the VIP count, and you're positive he wouldn't go directly into nightfall (like I would do), then you can make a case for "There's only one option."
Since you failed to make that connection, I'm not sure you're helping Town at all.
And, to superimpose your one-track fix onto me and paint me as scummy as a result is just shitty gameplay on your part.
You're not having a very good game, if you are Town, and I'd appreciate if you stopped implicating me by default because you can't think your way out of this by any means other than the one obvious path.
xpost x4 or so.

no, zigmen I don't think you would. If your action/inaction played into this, I don't think you'd further penalize the team of the player trying to set it right.Zigmen wrote:So, because you only see one way out, you assume that i must be on board with that plan, but by doing so means that I've changed my mind and that is somehow scummy of me?oblivion wrote: there's really only one pro-team decision for the involved players to make.

I've had to deal with town players deciding to precipitate a godkill in order to get their cardflip on the table with timing that penalized the scum team. that's different from what I"ve said I"d do.
But, I'll take your GM opinion under consideration.
