Yeah, so do I, but he also fooled the hell out of me in Kingmaker game. I'm just trying to explore all options.

Why would I talk about a GM decision? I've GM'd thousands of hours of AD&D and players complaining about a GM's actions fucks up the game .
I was right about Diva and especially right about Diva Flail being no indication of her role I was not on or even anywhere near her BW . It still has NO bearing at all on my role in this game I would KEEP posting 'Diva Flails when town FFS ' every time this happens but one day she will be scum .
Now I've got to read the rest of the thread !

if you were scum you would want us to believe that scum wouldn't block themselvesMantisdreamz wrote:Prevents the person from making an action. Generally, would you say, that anyone who comes out in the thread and says I was scum blocked (and in this case, the block was Romulans -- doesn't get much clearer than that) -- has a higher probability of being town than scum? And I say higher probability, because it's not that often that scum will roleblock themselves. Especially near the beginning.oblivion wrote:It does make sense. what does a block do?Mantisdreamz wrote:you know.. you are right. because a scum block, in a small way, could potentially clear the person blocked. So why after having Irre and myself as potential lynches, they would do that... doesn't really make a whole lot of sense...Uselesstwit wrote:but why would scum block the two of you? It seems like an odd choice.
So, no - it doesn't really make sense for them to have blocked 2 people that were under suspicion... and given them the allowance to be (possibly) put aside by town, for the reason that generally, we think that scum would most likely roleblock town over themselves.
Re: Starfleet Day 3
that exact thought occurred to me when i was catching up just nowAdenosine wrote:Maybe he's punishing grit's team.Mantisdreamz wrote: hah! Unfortunately, I'm as straight as they come. My options are cut in half too.
But hey - maybe Zig thought to give town a break by being more explicit in the roleblocker PM. You know, now he's letting us know that it is definitely a scum blocker. Maybe scum are a little overpowered..
Re: Starfleet Day 3
UT, i'm assuming this post was in response to bili asking you if you are paying attention to the game. In that case i have to ask what you mean by:Uselesstwit wrote:yes, yes we are. he wasn't involved much in the late night chatter, but right out of the gate he slams down a vote that most people are going to be okay with. Then he unvotes with the barest excuse and only after questions the rational. Also, i really don't buy mantis's story. if you'll notice she says the green ROMULAN, when has a gm ever given away the alignment of a blocker like that? Something smells, i don't like her story and i don't like how quickly bili bought it.
yes, yes we are
Re: Starfleet Day 3
Ooh, good catch.
How panicked do you think scum is right now? They lost Denny out of the gate and the hunting has been pretty good so far. What sort of crazy stunts would they pull to get someone to endgame?

curious post this, I'm suspicious of cheerleading and Ade should know good scum don't panic

Re: Starfleet Day 3
You think? I've seen scum panic all the time. I watched DeanM panic his way to an ill thought unprompted roleclaim and later lynching.
See, I'm wondering if they didn't block Mantis to know exactly what message the blockee gets. And if Mantis put a kill order in on someone knowing she'd be blocked then the holosuite would be used but we'd have no dead body and Mantis would have a claim to sail into endgame with. Unfortunately for my theory we still have no dead body. So someone blocked scum. So someone knows who one scum is.

Re: Starfleet Day 3
Checking back in after catching up on the day so far.
Well, this is most peculiar. I don't necessarily think scum are spooked, but I think they must have coordinated quite an excuse plan in the overnight (or early Day 3).
I appreciate the continued looking at others and the possibilities.
First off, I have said all along there must be a scum on the Danny wagon from Day 1, but it troubles me that it was Mantis who brought that up today. And the blocking PMs, there's something odd that they're so similar yet different, if one or both of them is genuine.
I still think there's 2 scum left, and if there's an indie, I'm willing to leave that for another day, unless it perhaps works into the scum dynamic I'm trying to see in their posting alliance.
Mantis has seemed much more persuasive today. I don't know if that's from simply having time to think or having help in planning. I still favour there being a Mantis/Irre scum team (there's just too much there to ignore), but surely there's some real blocking gong on? Would others confirm there seems to be some real blocking going on, especially from last night's no-kill(s)?
I find the UT/Feck dynamic interesting too, but it seems we'd have to clear one of the others to make any room for it. There's no way I believe there's 3 scum left, not if there's Romulan blocking. Oh Mafia experts, how common is it for scum to block themselves, and would it even be necessary apart from them simply claiming it happened or not putting in a move? This is most peculiar.

So does that mean you're thinking that Irre, who already claims a block message, is town?Adenosine wrote:You think? I've seen scum panic all the time. I watched DeanM panic his way to an ill thought unprompted roleclaim and later lynching.

Re: Starfleet Day 3
Scum might block themselves to find out exactly what the GM posts to the Blockee , but it seems a strange plan for scum to think up on day one .

Hi guys, I just finished catching up.
I'm Chekhov and I switched Oblivion and Mantis last night thinking that scum would try and kill Oblivion last night and hit Mantis instead.

Re: Starfleet Day 3
Interesting, so why block Ob but not kill her? Who would they be more interested in killing?
grit, I'm still 50:50 on Irre but I could go town on her definitely. If I'm wrong she's played the hell out of me.

Re: Starfleet Day 3
Who says they didn't try and do both? If the doc also protected Oblivion then that protection would have gone to Mantis as well.Adenosine wrote:Interesting, so why block Ob but not kill her? Who would they be more interested in killing?

So you think the Romulan wench is a town blocker?
