Thanks to all of you for taking a chance on a dark horse and playing the game! I had a lot of fun, and I enjoyed reusing a theme I've done before, albeit with a whole buncha modifications. I like doing SF-themed mafia games, and Dune is a great setting.
Definitely, so... you gonna run another game for us?
I gotta catch up on my sleep before I run another game. But I'll give it a go in a week or so if there isn't another game going by then.

Who's next?

For anyone interested in the scum actions, take a look at this thread. http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9804

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Thanks for running it, Oblivion, and I suppose I shall have to accept the unfamiliar epithet 'poor'

Shall play sober next time ;)

Should I give up my secrets? :hmph:

Edit: oops DP is going to ban me, so I should tell all.

OK, Ashton, here is a summary of your actions in the game:

ashtonblack going along with things
ashtonblack convo
ashtonblack reserves vote, says is honourable smuggler
ashtonblack conceded ani's point
ashtonblack says animavore has no evidence
ashtonblack retracts animavore vote
ashtonblack convo
ashtonblack confirm retraction of his vote
ashtonblack says to choose wisely
ashtonblack wonders why quiet people automatically suss
ashtonblack asks how long we have to decide
ashtonblack says he's flying blind
ashtonblack wonders if 95theses could be suss (from quiet people list)
ashtonblack takes heyzeus' word
ashtonblack will retract vote if he posts

Now, you seemed to know about Dune, so saying you're flying blind, plus all the vanilla (i.e. not helpful) comments on the voting just made you really suss.

Ghat: in the previous mafia game you were more forthright and decisive, so you seemed suss this time around.

DP: for someone, along with ksen and higgs2, who knew so much about Dune, you were SO bloody unhelpful! Pulling the list of declarations together meant you were spending time on the thread, but you weren't really helping the team (leaving off declarations, including mine, didn't help your case).

Normal: I'm sorry about the whole killing you thing.. you unfortunately play the game like cookiejon does i.e. put in lots of effort to help the team, but end up looking guilty.

Thanks so much for running the game, oblivion :rose:

Re the no-PM game, well it was an interesting experience for me. Being in a position to kill someone every night, it was almost agony to send off the PM, because although I had suspicions I couldn't be certain.

Oh... meant to say, the first night of the game Virphen 'jailed' me, keeping me awake all night telling rousing war stories :? I had planned on killing animavore, not because I thought he was suspicious, but because he was trying very hard to have me killed. Kudos to Virphen because, if I had killed animavore, there was a decent chance I'd have been lynched the next day.

I think this was a fun game. I'd definitely want to play another one when it gets started again

You have to admit that Ashton at least was flushed out straight away by my actions and maybe DP and Sis to a lesser extant with heyzues looking suspicious despite not being.

The one where you said your husband was voting for you. The bad guys thought you meant me.

I had to do something! Being vigilante, I was planning on staying a little out of the limelight, and you were gunning for me (yes I knew you were just stirring shit but getting me lynched would mean I couldn't go around killing people as I felt like it) so I had to do something. :tea:

Incidentally, Herzeus looked very, very guilty to me throughout. Perhaps I should take up another hobby?

I'm thinking of running a paranoia game. I'm just making a few notes at the moment but be assured it will be a bloodbath.
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.
