It's what I allowed to previously, e.g. here. "Credible name claim" is obviously an extremely condensed summary. You claimed to be responding to my reasoning. Did you miss my reasoning? And have you thought no similar thoughts about Athene, as you tried to get a read on her?Azathoth wrote:That's better. Knowing OB,
Scum was given the town PM and a safe claim.
it's interesting that on day two when slating Praying for confusion about her role PM someone quoted the vanilla town PM Given out in the Day one OP .The problem is that is NOT exactly what the Role sent to town via PM said ! (unless mine was different) . I'm not going to say who messed up and how because Scum have no way of knowing what I'm on about and town do .
Please note this could be an error caused by Two GM's sending out slightly different PMs but I don't think so .

Oh no it wasn't the role pm given out in a game thread .... it was in the PG

Exactly what is "yep" in reply to? Both that you missed my previous posts on the subject and that you have had similar thoughts?Azathoth wrote:yep. just wanted to hear it from youLinus wrote:It's what I allowed to previously, e.g. here. Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 3
ETA: given my previous posts, and the fact that you wrote this, I find it very hard to understand why you'd object putting Athene on the "probably not scum" list for reasons summarized as "credible name claim".
Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 3
I'm sure I saw your posts at the time but I haven't read back looking for them. I just wanted clarification on your reasoning for having athene where she was. You are getting very very defensive about it too. Verging on a flail

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 3
I'm not defending myself. I'm testing you, because your reaction does not fit your previous posts. If you too found Athene's name claim credible, as your previous posts (albeit under post restriction) would indicate, you had no reason to respond "seriously linus? name claims clear nobody. Oblivion is no noob GM. scum will have completely watertight safeclaims". From the use of the word "credible" it was already obvious that it wasn't the name claim in isolation I was referring to.Azathoth wrote:I'm sure I saw your posts at the time but I haven't read back looking for them. Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 3
Why is Linus a major suspect to you?DennyB wrote:Uh,Linus wrote:Probably not scum:
ut - credible seer claim
irre - credible indy claim
msg - gonzo lynch, doc claim
feck - credible name & mason claim
athene - credible name claim
denny - claimed NK of mantis
Others:
diva - meh
praying - postcount-to-content ratio vs. name claim
aza - reasonable so far
charlou - quiet, not sure I believe that wifom prevented her from coming up with 2nd day 2 suspect after diva
nellikin - must be judged indirectly via inferences about others
bolero - must be judged indirectly via inferences about others
zigmen - multiple iffy stuff
For now...
vote zigmen
You forgot one...
Vote Linus
Major suspects are in order:
Linus
nellikin
bolero
charlou
diva

Aza, did you pass on the posting restriction to anyone?

I would like to know this as well.Athene wrote:Aza, did you pass on the posting restriction to anyone?

MZ volunteered so I sent it to him. Looks like it died with him

Re: ElfQuest Mafia - Day 3
For me, it was a test vote based on a few mild pings. I still think Praying is Scum but I realised we're not going to gain anything more by pressuring her today, since she can't post.Athene wrote:Why is Linus a major suspect to you?
Since the heat has been turned up on Linus, I'm sensing a flail.
I'm comfortable keeping my vote on Linus because I think we've nailed a Scum. I'm also happy waiting til tomorrow to lynch Praying based on the very real chance that she'll make mistakes under pressure and give us more useful information.

Thanks Dean but I was actually asking DennyB. I don't think it's especially helpful to jump in and answer for other players.Zigmen wrote:For me, it was a test vote based on a few mild pings.
