I don't think there were any absentee players as such - several players were severely handicapped by the timing of the rounds. Sifaka and I are in NZ, several others are in Oz... the Aussies just can't post late in the day rounds on this schedules, Sifaka usually couldn't, I only tended to get on with half an hour to go maximum.

This is not a complaint, as I am sure the same thing happens to NH players in games run by SH people, but you have to be aware of this before labelling people as rudely abandoning the game.

And I agree about Skinny... we're used to a game which is more about just having a laugh rather than getting too serious about tells and voting patterns (although they're still a big part of it).

Finally - I really don't like subbing in new players, I don't think it's fair. I think if a person can't really participate, they should just be left there as a drone - and tough shit on their teammates if it means they have unused powers or votes.

We'd talked about it earlier as a way to get me into the final day. Most of the ideas were from Oblivion, she definitely was one of the best players here. If magicziggy thought he learned a lot this game, just wait until he's on her team sometime.
