Diva, I am continually logged in on my windows phone so I can see how it appears I'm lurking. I just caught up with everything.divagreen wrote:Contra, I see you lurking. Any thoughts?
Sorry I was out so long. I work as a contractor during the summers and have been really busy the last couple days with that. Had dinner with friends last night where Demi took my phone away because I "was being rude" by trying to read the thread under the table.
More to follow regarding what I have read but, in regards discussions involving understanding the game mechanics, I am very familiar with the game and the level which this game is based on. I dunno. Martinez, Vaanya, and Maynor are pretty f---ed up people - not exactly town role models in the slightest but then again neither was 47. He was more of an anti-hero if anything. There is something which has been bothering me though. Maynor was one of two assassins which 47 had to take out in the game in addition to Martinez and Vaanya. The other was a really crazy assassin dressed in a white bikini with angel wings. She was at the party posing as a lounge singer...a really bad one at that. She was more of a rogue than Maynor. She liked to kill her victims with her stiletto blades. I'm not certain as to why she was omitted from the flavor. She could have been left out of this simply on mechanics but I wouldn't be surprised if someone is this character. Possibly an SK or something (which makes no sense, now that I think of it, because we only had one death last night). The reason I speculate on this is because the only two people in the Agency that were mentioned through the entire game were 47 and Diana yet 4 people were not accounted for in the OP regarding the guests, waiter, etc. I suppose G could have added a couple of goons or something but I'm not sure because he really likes flavor and tries to stay close to the story - with minor modifications for mechanics sake.
Ultimately, I think that the Agency is scum and the Franchise is town. It's not uncommon for a game to have the heroes or anti-heroes as scum.
