Re: Timebomb Day 2
I'm going with Oblivion's first thought.
And yes, Mantis needs some more scrutiny as well, but she's gone for the night.

I'm still concerned that it may be hard to nail the last scum, but let's get the first.charlou wrote:Okay ... I think I get it ... And I think this is why MZ's changed his mind about vote spreading too .. Is that right MZ?Fuzzy Fungi wrote:This doesn't seem unusual. I think it's gonzo.

Generally , I'm too tired to play hangman and try to work it out !gib wrote:are you asking fuzzy or asking generally?Feck wrote:Vote spreading will mean when a special outs they can be stopped by scum in one night ?
Why is Fuzzy so convinced that there are people with the same code words ?

Re: Timebomb Day 2
Codewords will all be different imo. I have given Fuzzy my 9th letter and hopefully this will convince him.
Re: Timebomb Day 2
So far today I tend to agree we have 2 4point 'kills' in play that tends to hint Vig . Also scum will lie about getting single points , who said they got 1 point ?

Re: Timebomb Day 2
After MZ gave me the position of his (her?) 'l', we definitely don't match. The reason I wondered about it to begin with was because oblivion's 'e' is at the same position as mine, though that might not mean anything especially with a vowel. It was wild speculation, sorry.charlou wrote:What's your theory on who would have the same codewords and why, then? I just don't think that seems plausible but am open to consider any ideas.Fuzzy Fungi wrote:Also it was explicitly stated that scum know more about the codewords than we do. My assumption is that if this is true they already know this.

Re: Timebomb Day 2
In regular mafia without specials, town gets 1 kill at day and scum gets 1 kill at night. In that context, ~10 points (that we know about) from scum at night compared to 14 or 15 points from town at day doesn't seem at all "insane". That's all I meant.charlou wrote:Fuzzy Fungi wrote:Yup! But seriously, I'm not following your rationale here so please explain?

Re: Timebomb Day 2
in a normal game yes, but with this being a no reveal game and town evidently starting with less info than the scum, as well as a way for specials to be turned off but no seeming way to stop the night votes, I really expected scum to be weaker than normal. Unless it is a vig that put down 4 of the votes, then that person needs to reread day one paying particulur attention to the persons posts he hit.Fuzzy Fungi wrote:

Re: Timebomb Day 2
Feck - 0 (UT)
Fuzzy - 2 (Charlou, Bolero, divagreen)
UT - 1 (mantis)
Mantis - 4 (MagicZiggy, Ob (x2), Irre, UT) -- Armed - 1)
Gonzo - 1 (MagicZiggy) Armed - 3?
With what we have so far, I'm comfortable with Mantis, Gonzo or both being armed today, though I think we need to pile on more than the minimum needed to get someone to 6 points if we feel strongly that they are scum.
Mantis, you would have voted for gib yesterday according to your after-nightfall post. Why? And what makes UT a better lynch today. You're always a bit contrarian, but you've targeted 2 players so far that at least some other players feel look pretty townish.
