I understand that in order to win, the innocent team has to eliminate all the mafia team, every last one.

However, the mafia team only has to gain numerical equivalance with the innocent team at the end of a day round to win, because after that they could just block-vote in the lynch and whack at night.

So if there are two of the mafia team left, there are only three innocents. If an innocent is voted off today, we lose.

Last word: I'm not convinced about anything. They are playing really well. The third member of our team needs to connect with you at some point. Hopefully useless will have a slow day because that whole performance was shaky. Will awake at nightfall.

This is endgame or nearly there. I hope this helps because I think it applies here at ratz as it does in most places where mafia is played. At endgame, one of the ways to figure out who is scum is by looking at attitude. Look for who is trying to survive versus who is trying to win and find the last scum.

I don't think it will work today because I'm looking like a foregone conclusion. Nobody else is under threat of lynch. If we don't lose with the lynch tonight keep this in mind for tomorrow.

My bold. Freudian slip, Useless?

1) We either started this game with three or four mafia (because there are only five of us left, so a maximum of two can be mafia).
2) I now believe that the remaining mafia is either Oblivion (if only one) or Ani and Useless (if two).
3) This means that if we vote off Oblivion and she turns out to be innocent, we lose (2:2).
4) On the other hand, if we vote off either Ani or Useless and he turns out to be innocent, the game continues (at 3:1) and we can still win.

Magicziggy, out of Ani, Useless and Oblivion, one or two are guilty and after today’s posts I really don’t think Useless and Oblivion are in cahoots. I know you wondered if Ani and Oblivion could be (me too), but they have left their early votes unchanged. I don’t think they are...

After today’s events and tonight’s whack, I’d say the survivor of you and me needs to go after Useless, if Ani is guilty. If Ani is innocent, it could be either Useless or Oblivion but my instinct now is for Useless (he was online after my post - and his stats now show he’s been online ‘hidden’ at some time since then - but he didn’t respond).

In the unlikely event that they leave us both alive as a last-ditch attempt to come between us, we should, as you say, vote together.
