Re: Old West Mafia Day 1
But if only 8 people agree (or whatever) then it's pointless. I'm not giving up my role on day 1. Too much else to look at.Zigmen wrote:That's kinda the point. There's not much else to discuss in a 12 player game, so I figured I'd see where people sided on the issue.Magicziggy wrote: However, the discussion itself is revealing. I hope.
And, mathematically, it works pretty well.
Maybe we can claim tomorrow, but I think we'll lose our advantage by then and it will become pointless.

I agree there's a lot to look at. I think that's largely because of the discussion we had about claiming.
Gonzo and r.c. came out of it looking very iffy, don't you think?

Gonzo did because he jumped on you. Not seeing the r.c thing. I'll have to re-read his contribution.

Nope, don't agree with r.c. at this stage. He is vehermently opposed to a mass out, which I am to. He hasn't seen it work excpet in in Gonzo's game, which I agree with. r.c. is simply stating the obvious from his view point and I'm inclined to agree.
At this point, the discussion about outing is more useful than actually doing it. Time to move on. I'm not outing and I don;t thin anyone else should.
Irre hasn't posted. Jerome has a posting restriction.

I agree on rc, he just seemed opposed to the idea, gonzo doesn't really seem likely to me either. I'm more worried about jerome, his vote seemed like he was just hoping on a bandwagon, but it's so rare for a scum to have a posting restriction that i'm probably not voting for him.
I also didn't see a post from gibby when I just looked thru it but I might have missed it.
Irre's away visiting family so I'm not sure how active she'll be this week.

Endgames normally have a bit more data to work with. This is not like an endgame at all.Zigmen wrote: Mass claims work all the time, but are essentially reserved for endgames.
All I'm saying is that we could treat this game like one big endgame.

Re: Old West Mafia Day 1
Looks like the old "let's kill the player who starts conversation" is alive and well. Something to keep in mind for future games, i suppose.
I'm off to bed soon, and probably won't get up before nightfall.
Happy with my vote on Gonzo, and I'd like to point out that I played the part of "low hanging fruit" for the sake of exposing anyone looking for easy BWs. Of course, now that I have announced that, I don't expect anyone on my BW to fall off, but to try to bolster their votes with some sort of shady reasoning.
And, the mass claim could have worked . . . just fyi.
The game is small enough and is probably crawling with specials.
nite.

UT, why the change of heart about Gonzo?
