Matt, do you mean to tell me that you are not Franchise?

Also, linus is skating very close to special hunting territory.

If gib is The Franchise he would have to be almost as inattentive as you are/claim to be. Do you believe that? If not, it is of great interest what his ALIGNMENT is. This outweighs any concerns that he's a special.oblivion wrote:I agree with both of these observations. And I cannot believe that town is letting Linus do this. Even if he's town, what he's doing is potentially damaging to town.Uselesstwit wrote:does anyone else think that the target list in the day one op might be something to do with 47's win condition now? and if so, shouldn't we look at irre's wanting a mass claim in a much harsher light?

then it boils down to who looks scummy, ie play as normal gameamok wrote:Sure, but I was willing to lynch Irre just for suggesting it. It's not like this game has a bunch of sheep. The twist might be that he'd know darn well nobody would go for it.gib wrote:makes sense but i kinda hope gm woulda put more thought into the game - like who designs a game then says yeh btw these r the rolesamok wrote:OK, I'm just throwing this out here and am very open to being told the flaws in my logic.
The game started with:
Guests (5)
Waiters (2)
VIP (2)
Body Guards (2)
Officers (2)
I'm thinking Irre's suggestion wasn't all that silly and scummy, after all. If we reveal our roles (guest, waiter, VIP, etc.), rather than Franchise vs. ICA (maybe others?), there would by default be more claims than roles. Which would lead to winnowing down the likely liars and such.
Am I missing an crucial angle?

if you're town then i'm a distraction for you - i'm a townieLinus wrote:If gib is The Franchise he would have to be almost as inattentive as you are/claim to be. Do you believe that? Good! Now end the distraction by telling what your ALIGNMENT is.gib wrote:i'm a townie

linus as far as game mechanics goes who else do u think has a decent understanding

gib got the bandwagon off diva last night and shifted it to what has turned out to be a scum special. I do not believe that was a scumbus. you on the other hand, by your own admission hit that bandwagon after it ceased to matter.Linus wrote:If gib is The Franchise he would have to be almost as inattentive as you are/claim to be. Diva, I'm convinced you're Town, but I think you're wrong about the confusion being scummy and wifom-y. I was very sure that Charlou was innocent after her lynch, and was feeling quite smug about it. I was also sure Feck was Scum for a bit after his murder, because I realize (now) that I was being too simplistic about the "target" stuff. I'm only now getting things a bit more, but that's because I've been reading the links to the original video game.divagreen wrote:Because if he were scum he would have been trying to stir up wifom about Charlou's and Feck's alignment like some people I could name. I am Franchise. I win when all threats to town are eliminated. He is the only other one who understood what the fuck I was talking about last night.Uselesstwit wrote:I'm not done reading yesterday's thread yet, but how do you know that linus is on your team?divagreen wrote:Do you see my sig? In the FF game I think the final other 2 players would have self-voted rather than let Ob be lynched, they were so convinced she was town.gib wrote:diva i kinda think ob is town
She got abusive with me in that game too. I am not the one who is confused about who is on my team. Linus is on my team.
While I am grateful for your save yesterday, your dancing around Linus's questions is making you look uber suspicious to me.
If he is scum, then he is doing a masterful job because I am convinced that he is town.
It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

What do you infer from gib's p1 posts? Explain your reasoning.oblivion wrote:gib got the bandwagon off diva last night and shifted it to what has turned out to be a scum special. I'm done talking to linus. If he says something that indicates my vote is misplaced, let me know.
