For the record these are the two posts I left out:

So you agree that a mass day one role claim isn't a good plan, after all?

I never said mass. Other people just assumed that. Getting a few of them though? Yeah. Though the existence of fake roles changes the math there a bit. Still a no lynch is better than a random lynch at this point, statistically speaking.

I definitely prefer a lynch, though this was an unusual circumstance because we hadn't a secondary reasonable bandwagon to shift to.

I don't see how even outing a few roles helps town until late in the game. Look at this situation: the doc had to out, now she is a prime scum target and scum doesn't even have to suss her out. She'll have to use her power to protect herself instead of someone else. It isn't good for town at all, and is a plus for scum.[/quote]

And following on from previous exchange:

Depends on how the GM has configured the roles. Docs can't always protect themselves and sometimes there are other restrictions, like not the same person twice, etc. I did not say scum would likely go for charlou tonight, just that she's a known special, they don't have to look for her now, amirite.

What do you mean by 'watchers'? The equivalent role here may not work the way you have experienced it.
b.tern told me that she was explaining her suspicions of andrew but to me it looks more like she's explaining a point to andrew.
b.tern not so long ago wrote:Left out some stuff though. Most of my posts to andrewclunn, which you ruled no content or fluff, were to let him know why I fos'd him and trying to clear up the differences between the mafia he's been playing and the mafia we play here. I still think he's suspicious, just not quite as.
Ignore me, I'm just here for the Mafia.

Top pick for me is Andrew for traitor or possibly the boldest newb scum in the history of Ratz mafia. I think we are letting Feck coast.
Possibly an extra day and an extra player is taking it's toll on scum.

Contra, what did you make of your previous incarnation suggesting the lynch on shizzle?
It wouldn't be his first outing as scum though, he has played elsewhere. I think he is playing the noob card on us that is why my vote is still on him. Shizzle is bothering me. Last time I saw him relaxed like this he was scum. Zigmen has already got a lot of attention, I could get behind that BW today. It just read as posting for the sake of looking helpful without actually helping. I agree that Feck needs his cage rattled a bit. I prodded him yesterday about his attempted driveby.

lots of x-posting while I posted this
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Re: Athene. She had 12 posts yesterday. Organise the day into "by name" and go to the second half of page 5.

I'm not seeing scummy from her. But if she was I fully expect Contra will have more "accidents" on the way home from work.

My town reads have been good of late (Irre :ob:)

I trust them far more than my ability to read scum.

Matt is my safest town read.
Charlou has claimed doc and is now in full Charlou town mode.
Adenosine has made a strong start, but I agree was a little one dimensional out of the blocks. However, I put this down to having been following the game and built a case.

Andrew and amok remain the two deepest in the scumpile with DP in there but maybe only because of the circumstances involving the lynch. Zigmen needs to pipe up or I'd be fine with lynching him. His contribution has been minimal. I was wary of Athene as well. Seemed awfully quiet and that suggestion to lynch shizzle pinged hard. Contra will add another dimension.

The rest I'm undecided. For me to find UT townish, I'd need a sworn statement from the GM that he had given UT a town role.

I actually have to do some work now. ;)

UT's "followyness" strikes me as trying to find some townies to hang with? He's made some independent observations which, when I took a closer look have rung a chord ... Is this town play ... or extremely subtle manipulation? irre, what do you think?

Yeah, adenosine, I lynch voted andrew, and people wer all 'ooo poor newb, give 'im a chance!' so I made an effort to see that pov and help him out. Personally, I don't think it's necessarily scummy to do that. YMMV.

You said this yesterday DP:
B. tern is looking a bit suss today, as is Andrew, but that may just be because he's new.

MZiggy still iffy for me, but want to see some more from him before I quantify that.

I'm going to ##vote andrewclunn##

Scum shouldn't get a pass for being new.
What did you find sus about b.tern?

And are you generally so easily swayed by the masses?
Saying I'm voting for someone to see how they react is kinda pointless, kinda important to get a handle on new players early on.

##unvote ##
##vote charlou##
Might as well join the masses since she is looking kinda suss, "dp looks scummy" is a wonderful default position for scum, no one ever questions it.
What I'm not seeing is a irre-DP collusion to get irre through to endgame. It doesn't make sense since DP agreed with irre to take one for the team.
Ignore me, I'm just here for the Mafia.

What is your list, b.ter ... most town to least town/scummiest?
